Loss Appraisal

Untitled (1960) is a wholly self-owned and independent claims consultancy providing unbiased opinions in relation to the appraisal of loss of, or damage to, fine art, antiques and musical instruments

Advices are given in respect of evidence of pre-loss conservation and/or restoration interventions, pre-existing and/or inherent defects, causal factors and quantum.

Treatment analysis and access to a carefully selected panel of conservators and restorers is undertaken so that the most appropriate and cost effective method of reinstatement may be identified with a view to mitigating any potential claim for diminution in value.

Forensic investigation utilising the services of leading research establishments is a niche speciality of Untitled (1960).

The importance of prompt reporting accompanied by the early introduction of a loss reserve is recognised. In the absence of instructing Principals’ terms of engagement, minimum service standards and performance protocols are available on request.

Appraisal reports which comply with the requirements of Civil Procedure Rules and Expert Witness Procedures and protocols may be provided.
