Risk Management

Pre-risk surveys are undertaken on behalf of insurance companies and interested Underwriters at Lloyd’s. These address the adequacy of physical and intruder alarm security measures in place.

Fire detection and extinguishment systems as well as
natural and man-made perils are reviewed, and appropriate recommendations given in respect of improvements
deemed appropriate.

Risks typically surveyed include private collections, galleries, museums and other exhibition venues, bank vaults and storage facilities.

Provenance, authenticity and value may be researched in the context either of a pre-risk survey exercise or claim adjustment assignment.

Facility reports may be prepared on behalf of Insurers and organizers of exhibitions. Scope and format can be custom made to meet specific budgetary and content requirements
of clients.

Packing/transportation audits and best practice guidance compliance studies are performed in order to mitigate the risk of loss or accidental damage to artworks during handling, storage and transit.
